Cancer functional genomics lab
Candidates should be highly motivated, have a background in Life Sciences, Chemistry, Physics and/or Computer Science, with STRONG INTEREST (experience is not required) in cancer. Projects in the lab use a variety of techniques including genetic screens, cell biology, molecular biology and bioinformatics.
Current ongoing projects include:

Identification of alternatively expressed transcripts as targets in Gastric cancer.

Identification and characterisation of genes associated with increased breast cancer risk.

Development of CRISPR based approaches for systematic studies of circular RNA function.

Mechanisms and strategies for targeting of β-catenin driven colon cancers.

PROTACs as a new molecule type for development of personalised cancer therapies.
